Automatic tyre killer MTK001 is one of the highest security vehicle access control systems in which a vehicle without permission cannot enter. Tyres of the unpermitted vehicle splits open immediately, therefore the vehicle moves only a few more meters and is stopped. Jaws of the tire killer move all together. Drive unit is placed to one end of the tire killer, it stands above the ground level and is a complete assembly with the body. In this way, both smooth transmission of motion and minimum effect of external factors are achieved.

GS automatic tyre killers are controlled by a controller. Open/close function can be achieved by every kind of card readers, biometric readers like fingerprint etc, radio control on/off switch or key switch etc. Besides, safety accessories like loop detectors, photocells, flashing lights or red/green light can be integrated to the control electronics very easily. Time delay arming of the tire killer can be adjusted between 0-60 seconds.

The tyre-killer is made of A3 steel and steel blade(Shape looks like speed bump). It adopts the mechanical and electrical integration remote control device,easily operated,safe and reliable.It is advanced equipment to intercept forbidden vehicles and terrorist vehicles.

When the interception is needed, press the Up button on the remote control,then steel blade will rise up immediately. If the vehicle force through, the tyres will be punctured and deflated.When steel blade can effectively prevent the wheel passing and forced to stop.

When the interception task is over,press the Down button, the blade will retract back to the casing and standby.

GS hydraulic tyre killers can be interfaced to any access control systems. Traffic Light System included as optional. We recommend that tire killer barricades are used in conjunction with a drop arm gate.

General Features

GS automatic tyre killers which electrohydraulically operated, is completed with hydraulic pump in outside cabinet and a control switch; GS hydraulic tyre killer is an effective way to stop even wider vehicles than cars. When closed, tyre killer is totally hidden in the street surface, so it allows the drive to all vehicles; when raised, it can stop even great trucks at a speed of 80Km/h. It is typically used for perimeter protection of military bases, embassys, government buildings, airports and some other important public service places, in car parking and a san anti-terrorist measure.

Control Cabinet 

IP65 protection is available in the cabinet 1.2 mm thick galvanized sheet metal is utilized in the body. It is painted electrostatically with RAL 7032 emboss point.

Control System

Control electronics utilized in hydraulic tyre killer is PLC controlled. Motor is driven by a contactor and protected by a thermic breaker. The low current voltage required by the system is supplied by a switch mode power supply. There is a fuse for every component in the system. All the cables running in the system are colour coded and numbered to ease tracking. There is a control keyboard in the power group as well as the desk-top one for the guard room. Time delay automatic-raising of the hydraulic tyre killer can be adjusted between any time period. Power requirement of the hydraulic tyre killer is 380 V 50~60Hz (or 220 V 50~60Hz, optional).

Construction and Drive Unit

Main mechanical elements forming the construction are heavy duty 12mm top plate and the frame consisting of 80x60x3 mm box, 100*50 mm NPU and 100 mm NPI beams. This sophisticated mechanical design enables the tyre killer to withstand 60 tons of axle loads, besides, in case of crash, linkage bars transmit the impact directly to the foundation, therefore help to protect mechanism. A cushioned cylinder powers the road blocker up as it pivots on multi-sealed bearings. All the parts are hot dip galvanized/3 layers primary coated and 3 layers painted to yellow and black, in order to prevent rusting.
